Lynette is a media professional, conservationist, ecologist and science communicator.
After years of searching the rainforests for frogs, Dr. Lynette Plenderleith left the swamps of scientific research. Her love of television and film led her to a career in factual media production. With a Ph.D. in Australian frogs, a Masters degree in salamander ecology and a knack of interpreting science for the general public, Lynette has been much in demand from productions seeking to install scientific rigor with creative flair. Lynette’s metamorphosis from scientist to media freelancer has included forays into science comedy, live performance and podcasting. She is Founder and Chair of Frogs Victoria, President of Victorian branch of the Australian Science Communicators and advisor to student science communication program Let’s Torque. Lynette still feeds her addiction to wildlife biology by working part-time and temporary contracts in scientific research.
